Top Tips for a Manicure

  1. Ensure all jewellery is removed. Cleanse and file nails, push cuticles back and exfoliate.
  2. Apply Salon Specifics Hygienic Paraffin Spray (with purifying Tea Tree oil).
  3. Manipulate Massage Cream with Collagen into hands and feet to enhance the effectiveness of the Paraffin Wax.
  4. Test the temperature of the Paraffin Wax on the inside of your wrist. It should feel comfortably warm. Ensuring the client’s fingers/toes are closed together; dip one hand/foot at a time into the Paraffin Bath 2–3 times to form a glove.
  5. Insert hand/foot into the Glove Liner and cover with the Toweling Mitten/Bootie.
  6. Allow to stand for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Remove the Glove Liner with the wax and dispose.
  8. Massage the excess oil into the hands or feet.

Pre Wax Directions
Allow wax to melt to workable consistency.
Prepare your work-station, place wax sheet on bed.
Wash hands with anti-bacterial hand wash and put on Latex/Vinyl Gloves.
Remove wax from plastic outer-covering.
Place wax inside heater (bath holds 2.5kg of wax). Turn on to maximum temperature and wait approximately 1–1.5 hours to heat up. Thereafter heater can be turned down to 60–65 degrees, to maintain desired temperature.

TIP: People generally experience more heat sensation in their feet, and so, when you dip a foot, the paraffin may seem much warmer. Simply immerse the foot more slowly. Because feet are larger than hands, you will displace more paraffin. Use extra care to avoid spilling.
